Residential care overview

Activities

A comprehensive lifestyle program and qualified Diversional Therapist provide residents with interesting, satisfying, and therapeutic activities throughout the day. Activities are tailored to suit individual needs, preferences and capabilities and range from outings, entertainment, exercise classes and crafts.

Alzheimer's and dementia care

Arcare recognises the special needs of people with Alzheimer's disease and other related memory impairments. This means finding ways to involve residents in everyday activities they enjoy and can feel successful at in specially designed surroundings that are both safe and stimulating.

Facilities

Our facilities have a homely atmosphere with well appointed lounge rooms, dining rooms and activity centres. As this is the residents' home, they are encouraged to personalise their rooms to suit their individual preferences.

Our facilities also include pleasant gardens and courtyards to walk and sit outside, in addition to opportunities for healthy exercise. Nature can have tremendous soothing powers, and here our residents can enjoy the outdoors in a safe and secure way.

Dining

We offer an enjoyable dining experience that encourages independence in a comforting, social atmosphere. Carefully monitored hydration and nutrition programs encourage proper fluid intake and provide a variety of healthy food choices. Families and friends are welcome to join residents for meal times simply by informing the facility manager beforehand.

Respite

Respite is short term care which is provided for those residents who have approval by the Aged Care Assessment Service (ACAS). For a minimum of two weeks, respite provides an opportunity for families and carers to have a short break from the routine of daily at-home care.

Admission

For admission please contact our experienced Admissions Coordinators who will assist in making the move into our facilities as smooth as possible.
